Dungeon crawler prototype
Instructions for game
- Move around with the arrow or WASD keys
- To attack press the right mouse button
- to damage yourself press the N key
- to heal yourself press the M key
This is a dungeon crawler prototype that I created for my Unit 12 project wherein I had to:
- Find two games I felt inspired by.
- Do an analysis of the two games which detailed: the type of narrative both games have, the similarities and differences in both games' genres and how that makes them different/ what kinds of codes and convention they have to follow to be a part of that genre and also the impact that that both games have had on the game's industry in relation to their historical, cultural and social context.
- Doing pre-production of what assets would be used in the prototype, the possible schedule that prototype's creation will follow by and creating a Game Design Document (GDD) of what I would want my game to follow by.
- I then went on to create the prototype by using the Unity engine, I also had to code some basic features like walking, applying walking animation, the collision between object and player and a small health system.
- After completing the prototype I then made sent the project to itch.io.
